The 316 Stainless Steel Perforated Sheet is made up of austenitic stainless steel of the 316 grade and it has chromium, nickel, and molybdenum in its chemical composition. They can resist corrosion more effectively compared to the 304 grade and hence the ASTM A240 SS 316 Perforated Sheet Metal can be used in moderately corrosive environments. They are mostly used in environments containing chlorides and halides. The addition of molybdenum in the chemical composition of the UNS S31600 Perforated Sheet enhances its resistance to corrosion and chloride pitting. It also comes with higher creep and stress-to-rupture. The 316 material is known for its enhanced tensile strength, especially at elevated temperatures.
