Monel 400 Tube is a part of the Monel family of alloys created. A tube of nickel-copper 400 alloy, roughly has 67% nickel, it is known for its resistance to sea water corrosion, acids and other corrosive media. Monel 400 is an alloy of nickel and copper, commonly used in critical, high-performance applications. It exhibits high strength, excellent resistance to acids and alkalis, good ductility, and good thermal conductivity. Monel 400 is suitable for temperatures ranging from subzero to 1,000°F (538°C), and can only be hardened via cold-working. ASTM B163 Monel 400 Seamless Tube is corrosion resistant, which allows it to excel in marine applications- piping systems, pump shafts, seawater valves, etc. This tubing type is also found generally in chemical plant equipment, crude oil distillation towers, boiler feeders and heat exchangers.
