Stainless Steel 304L Pipe is made up of a lower carbon version of the 18-8 austenitic stainless steel material that is the most used in the world. The lower carbon content allows for excessive welding without localized corrosion. This is because the Stainless Steel 304L Pipe produces less carbide precipitation during welding and does not form much intergranular corrosion. There are seamless and welded pipe types. The welded pipes are made by welding the strips of the same grade end to end or spirally.
